Dr. Daniel Meressa
Medical Coordinator for the Global Health Committee MDR-TB Program in Ethiopia
Dr Daniel Meressa is the Medical Coordinator for the Global Health Committee MDR-TB Program in Ethiopia. He is a medical graduate of Gondar University and he completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Addis Ababa University (Black Lion Hospital). He has a long track-record of medical service at St. Peter's Hospital and is a member of the National Ethiopian MDR-TB technical working group, and has participated in the development of the national MDR-TB and TB infection control guidelines. He has significant clinical experience in the clinical and programmatic management of MDRTB and has been instrumental in the expansion of this program in Ethiopia.

Martha Milksa
Peer Nutrition Supporter
Martha became a member of GHC in November 2009 as our nutrition supporter. In her current position she helps oversee the nutrition program for MDR TB patients while providing support and education to MDR TB patients in the continuation phase of treatment. In addition to her role as peer nutrition supporter she also has training as a peer educator for HIV/AIDs.

Kassim Abato
Outpatient Coordinator, MDR TB GHC Ethiopia
Kassim joined the GHC staff in December of 2009 as the outpatient coordinator. A skilled clinician, he brings with him a knowledge and charisma to the role that has allowed him to spearhead the outpatient MDR program in Ethiopia. He has a BSC in Publich Health as a health officer from Hawasa University, health science college. He carries experiences and training in multiple fields which he brings to management and care of MDR TB patients including HIV/AIDS management/ TB and HIV co-infection management and nutrition. Kassim is welcomed addition to the GHC team.

Dr. Bekele Fekade
MDR Inpatient Medical Liaison, Ethiopia, CHC
Dr. Bekele joined GHC in December of this year in the inpatient setting for MDR TB. He brings with him decades of experience in the medical management of TB as well as expertise in hospital administration in Ethiopia.  He will continue to direct the care of inpatients during the initiation phase of MDR TB.

Bedilla Berihu
MDR TB nurse
Beidila Berihu has a diploma in clinical nursing from Addis Ababa University. Since she graduated in 2004, she has been working at St.Peter's specialized TB hospital. She joined the GHC staff in 2008 after training in MDR-TB treatment by GHC/CHC in Cambodia. She received her BSC in clinical nursing in 2010 from Kia University College.

Mohammed Yesuf
Head Nurse GHC MDR Program
Nurse Mohammed Yesuf has a diploma in clinical nurse from Asmara University and worked as a health assistant in Gojam, Ethiopia. In 1994 he joined St.Peter's TB specialized TB hospital and is one of the senior nurses of the hospital where he works as the head nurse of the MDR program in the GHC/St Peter's MDR Program. He joined the GHC staff in 2008 and trained in MDR-TB treatment by GHC/CHC in Cambodia. He is also trained in VCT,ART, PICT, nursing training of trainers, and health education promotion & communication. He received his BSC in clinical nursing in 2010 from Addis Ababa University and was awarded the annual prize awarded by the Ethiopian Nurses Association for. TB & MDR-TB patient care sponsored by Eli J. Lilly and Co. Mohammed is currently the secretary of the Addis Ababa branch of the Ethiopian Nurses Association.

Rabiya Gashaw
Sr. Rabiya Gashaw received a diploma in Clinical Nursing from Bethel Medical College in 2007 and began to work at the Global Higher clinic as a general clinic nurse, and as a home based care service and general nurse at Family Doctors clinic as well as in Gulele Sub city as health extension worker. Rabiya joined GHC in December 2009 as an outpatient nurse assisting with outpatient care of MDR patients.
